Frank Loge is a professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Director of the Center for Water-Energy Efficiency at the University of California, Davis. He began his career studying water and wastewater treatment and has since expanded his research to encompass the interconnected relationship between energy, water, and greenhouse gas emissions. He advocates for fundamental research to advance knowledge, as well as the development and deployment of technologies or policies that improve environmental quality and the efficiency of resource consumption. His research interests are: water and energy efficiency in urban and agricultural systems, water/energy demand management, sustainable building design, water reuse, conservation-based water rates, data privacy/security, data analytics, and entrepreneurship. Dr. Loge holds a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the UC Davis and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of California.
